How to create manual upsells
Updated over a week ago

In case you need to create specific offers as post-purchase upsells, Vanga lets you configure them in two simple steps. This is when you want certain products in your store to display specific upsells when they get purchased.

Go to the Manual Offers tab to get started.

The first step is to select your triggers.

You can select specific products or entire collections to be the upsell triggers.

  • When you select a specific product, the upsell offer will only be displayed when a customer buys it.

  • When you select a specific collection, all of the products inside will trigger the upsell you're creating when they get bought by customers.

To continue, click Add Products. This popup will appear to let you select the products you want to use as offer triggers.

The next step is to configure your upsells and downsells.

This is where you select the products you want your customers to see after a purchase. The upsells can be up to two products. When the first is accepted, the second will be shown.

The downsell is a third product you can select that will show if a customer declines the first upsell. This can be a less expensive option so you can have one last try to increase the order size.

Finally, you can personalize the offer title & subtitle to something that will convey specific information or call-to-action for this exact upsell flow.

When you’re ready with your manual upsell, click Save offer.

Note:

  • We can add products or collections that have no stocks. The 3 channels (Vanga Cart, Post-Purchase Page, and Thank You Page) can show products that have no current stock

  • With this feature, customers can pre-ordering the upsell product/collection

Once your offer is created, you will be able to turn it on and off using the Offer status on the right side and preview it by clicking the Preview Offer button underneath.

This is where you will be able to see all of the manual upsells you’ve created. You can monitor their conversion rate and the revenue they generate with the metrics that are measured per upsell offer.

Also, you can manage their status. Active means that the upsell is currently displaying, while Draft means that customers won’t see it when they purchase any of the triggers.
